Characteristics of the accommodation
This beautiful 7-person apartment is located in the high-quality project Residenz Drachenstein Wildschönau, which was completed in 2017. Residenz Drachenstein is characterized by the large terraces/balconies, windows and a warm Austrian look from the outside and a modern design look from the inside. The building is equipped with a general ski depot and a wonderful wellness area. The residence is located near the center of Niederau. From the house you have a magnificent view over the Wildschönau. Residenz Drachenstein has a luxurious wellness area with a large jacuzzi, steam bath, saunas, showers, relaxation area, etc. In addition, the building has a separate washing and drying room, a ski depot, a charger for electric cars (for a fee) and a charger for e-bikes. There is also an underground parking garage. Residenz Drachenstein is led by a Dutch caretaker couple, who live in the complex and are therefore almost always present. They take care of the check-in/check-out of the guests and ensure that everything is to your liking. The caretakers also provide the bread service for a fee.
Residenz Drachenstein is located in the ancient ski village of Niederau, in the beautiful area of the Wildschönau. This area now belongs to ‘The top 10 best ski areas in Tyrol’. The apartment complex is just around 500 meters from the ski lifts. The center of the village is close to the location. The apartments have a wide view of the Wildschönauer mountains, the village of Niederau and the slopes of the local Markbachjoch ski area.
Since 2012, the Wildschönau has been connected to the ski area of the Alpbachtal by one of the most modern lifts, resulting in a super ski area of 150 km of ski slopes. This makes the area suitable for skiers of all levels. Both for families with small children and for the professional cracks and snowboarders who do not turn their hands for black, mogul slopes and deep snow descents. Sporty cross-country skiers and mountain hikers can also indulge themselves in the extensive and beautiful nature reserve of the Wildschönau.
The practically untouched nature reserve, the Wildschönau, is one of the oldest ski areas in Tyrol, but also forms a beautiful holiday location in the mountains in summer. In summer you can use the lifts for free with the Wildschönau Card. The Wildschönau is a real hiking paradise with 300 km of hiking trails. Mountain hiking, various outdoor (mountain) sports, paragliding, tennis, swimming and, of course, wonderful golf on the many golf courses in the immediate vicinity, are all possible in the Wildschönau.
